Easy Tea Time Lunch Ideas (With Cozy Homemade Recipes)

Lunch can be Tea Time too!

Today I set up my dining table for my regular Tea Time Ritual, but for today I had lunch instead of just tea and a snack. I had been working on my blog site with my AI earlier and when i was getting hungry and ready to cook lunch. I asked the AI (ChatGPT) about receipes for Tomato Pie and Chicken Pie baked in the oven. I gave the AI the ingredients I had available and it came back with a couple of cool receipes.

So I proceeded to create two “pies” using those receipes (I’ll attach them to this post). They both turned out nicely. I cooked them at 375 deg for 35 minutes in my oven and then let them cool. The pies looked good but they did fall apart a little when i cut pieces for my plate, so I suggest cooking for 40 minutes and letting them cool longer – I was hungry and didn’t wait too long!

My Tea Ritual Specifics

Currently, my Tea Ritual setup is on my dining room table, which overlooks the trees outside my home. I set up my glass teapot (the one I use for blooming tea) over a ceramic warmer with a tea candle inside to keep the water hot. I usually choose tea bags, and today I set out Comfort and Joy and Desert Sage tea bags from The Republic of Tea (my favorite supplier). I really love their decorated containers.

I typically use a culp and saucer from my mom’s Japanese china, and I have my new Colorsoft Kindle set up with a book to read while I enjoy my tea. Today’s book was “Parting the Wasthington Sea” by James O’Brien.

  • Comfort and Joy tea bags. This creates tea that smells like the Christmas holiday in all seasons, and I love that scent. It needs no honey or anything added – I drink it just as it is, although I tend to use two tea bags to make it strong.
  • Desert Sage tea bags. I enjoy herbal teas and this is a nice herbal tea said to clear the mind. It contains Blackberry, Lemongrass, Spearmint, and is becoming one of my new favorites. I just use one bag of this.
