Tea Supplier Resources
I’ve been researching and trying different teas and collecting suggestions for best places to purchase tea from online Tea groups and review sites. Here are some of my favorite resources to purchase my teas:
- Teabox.com A great site to choose hundreds of teas from India and Napal that can be delivered to your doorstep. The site also has a gift shop for tea wear (tea sets, teapots and teacups and various gift items)
- Artoftea.com This is an online tea retail site know for its organic tea blends. The founder of this company, Steve Schwartz, got interested in tea and the tea business while studying at the Ayurvedic Institute He got into the tea business while studying preventative medicine at the Ayurvedic Institute, (a nonprofit located in Ashville, NC). Steve started his business in his garage and travels around Asia and Africa to find and study various blends and brews and to get in contact with the tea farmers.
- Therepublicoftea.com This company offers hundreds of great premium teas and tea accessories. Founded by the Zieglers of “Bananna Republic” in 1992. 18 months later the company was purchased by Ron Rubin (the Minister of Tea company). His son, Todd is present of The Republic of Tea at present.
- Ministryoftea.com This is a family-run business out of North London (established in 2019 by Ron Rubin) providing many wonderful organic premium teas. They promote the principles that a “balanced diet based on organically grown whole-foods is essential to good health, happiness and well being.”
- Zest Tea Zest is out of Philadelphia, PA and Stonington, CT. They offer a variety of tea blands and tout their higher caffeine content will rival a cup of coffee. They offer both tea bags and loose leaf teas that give you an “energy boost”.
- Pukka Herbs. This company is based out of Bristol in the UK. They offer various teas and herbal teas/tisanes. Pukka, a Hindi word means “genuine” or “superior” in quality. The thought behind the herbal offerings originates from “Ayurveda,” which is the traditional medicine of India.
